What's new in Refurbr? | May 2026 update

May has been one of the most exciting months yet for Refurbr users, with three releases delivering major improvements across warehouse operations, diagnostics, marketplaces, returns and inventory management.

Powered by ongoing innovation within the MPX platform, these updates are designed to help refurbishment businesses work more efficiently, gain greater visibility across their operations and scale with confidence.

Whether you're managing buybacks, processing devices through refurbishment, selling across multiple marketplaces or handling warranty returns, this month's updates deliver meaningful improvements throughout the refurbishment lifecycle.

Here's a summary of what's new

  1. Wave Picking Runs for faster device fulfilment
  2. Aiken integration and IMEI barcode labels
  3. Marketplace Coverage across Refurbed, Reebelo, Back Market, Neuro and more
  4. Enhanced Returns and RMA collaboration
  5. Issue tracking inside Conversations
  6. Faster despatch and marketplace fulfilment workflows
  7. Better grading, inventory control and stock visibility
  8. Ongoing platform performance and reliability improvements

Let's take a closer look at what's new in Refurbr and how it benefits your refurbishment business.

๐Ÿš€ Faster warehouse operations with Wave Picking Runs

Moving large volumes of devices through the warehouse can quickly become a bottleneck during busy periods. That's why one of the headline features this month is the introduction of Wave Picking Runs.

Rather than processing Picking Requests one at a time, warehouse teams can now group multiple requests into a single Run and collect all required devices in one warehouse sweep. Location-optimised Pick Sheets guide users through the most efficient route, while scan-driven confirmation helps maintain accuracy throughout the picking process.

The result is faster fulfilment, fewer unnecessary journeys around the warehouse and greater efficiency during periods of high demand.

๐Ÿ”Œ Stronger refurbishment workflows with Aiken integration and IMEI barcode labels

Diagnostics are a critical part of any refurbishment operation, and May introduces new tools to help streamline that process.

Refurbr now supports integration with Aiken, allowing diagnostic data to be pushed directly into the platform while still giving your team complete control over when updates are applied to inventory records. Similar to the existing Phonecheck workflow, pending updates can be reviewed before being committed to live stock.

Alongside this, new IMEI barcode labels make it easier to identify devices throughout the refurbishment process. Teams can now scan IMEIs directly from printed labels, reducing manual lookups and helping devices move through testing, grading and fulfilment more efficiently.

Together, these enhancements help create a smoother flow from diagnostics through to resale.

๐Ÿ›’ Better marketplace visibility and control

For refurbishment businesses selling across multiple channels, visibility is everything.

The new Marketplace Coverage dashboard provides a complete overview of where each SKU has been synchronised, helping teams quickly identify marketplace gaps, track listing activity and monitor synchronisation health.

Whether you're selling through Refurbed, Reebelo, Back Market, Neuro or a combination of marketplaces, the dashboard provides a clear view of your marketplace presence from a single location.

Behind the scenes, improvements to marketplace synchronisation continue to improve performance, helping inventory updates and orders move between systems more efficiently.

๐Ÿ“ฆ Smarter returns and warranty collaboration

Returns and warranty claims often involve multiple teams, supporting evidence and ongoing communication.

To help simplify the process, Refurbr now supports file attachments directly on Returns and RMAs. Teams can upload photographs, PDFs and supporting documentation to create a complete record of faults, warranty claims and supplier discussions.

Conversations are also now available on Returns and RMAs, allowing customer service, refurbishment and warranty teams to collaborate directly within the record itself.

The result is a more connected workflow and a clearer audit trail when investigating device issues.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Resolve operational issues faster

This month also introduces a powerful new issue tracking capability.

Issue tracking is now built directly into Conversations, allowing teams to flag, discuss and resolve operational problems without leaving the record they're working on.

The first implementation appears within Picking Requests, where issues such as incorrect addresses, courier exceptions or fulfilment delays can be tracked and resolved collaboratively.

Because the functionality is built into the underlying Conversations framework, it also creates opportunities for similar workflows across other areas of the business in future releases.

๐Ÿšš Faster despatch and fulfilment workflows

Several updates this month focus on helping refurbishment businesses move devices out the door more efficiently.

Automatic courier label printing removes unnecessary steps by sending labels directly to a user's default printer once a booking is completed. One-click label reprinting makes it easier to handle exceptions during busy despatch periods.

Courier restrictions can now be configured by destination country, helping teams choose the most appropriate carrier for each shipment and avoid costly mistakes on international orders.

Combined with marketplace synchronisation improvements, these changes help keep fulfilment operations running smoothly as order volumes grow.

๐Ÿ“‹ Better inventory control and grading visibility

Good refurbishment decisions depend on accurate inventory data.

This month's updates introduce stronger controls around stock management, including mandatory reasons for stock deletion, improved delivery tracking and enhanced validation throughout warehouse workflows.

New Pre-Grade functionality also allows teams to record supplier-provided grading information alongside their own inspection results, making it easier to compare incoming stock against expected quality.

Together, these improvements strengthen accountability and help maintain high-quality inventory data throughout the refurbishment lifecycle.

โšก Continued investment in the platform

Alongside the headline features, May delivered another significant wave of platform improvements.

Additional areas of Refurbr have benefited from the ongoing MPX forms modernisation programme, bringing greater consistency and usability across the platform. Infrastructure improvements have also enhanced printing performance, background processing, logging and overall system responsiveness.

While these enhancements may be less visible than new features, they play a vital role in ensuring Refurbr remains reliable as your business grows.

๐Ÿ”ฎ Looking ahead

May has been defined by three key themes: efficiency, visibility and control.

Wave Picking Runs help warehouse teams move devices faster. Marketplace Coverage provides greater visibility across sales channels. Aiken integration strengthens refurbishment workflows and improved collaboration tools help teams work together more effectively.

These releases also lay the groundwork for future innovation across diagnostics, marketplaces, warehouse automation and fulfilment intelligence.

We're excited to continue building Refurbr around the real-world challenges faced by technology refurbishment businesses.
